This website, is  work-in-progress that will evolve over time. We are currently preparing a limited number of visited case studies to share here in some detail. These are positive exemplars from across the globe that we obtained permission to visit and document. We are continuing to develop our analysis of images and interviews (with managers, midwives, doctors, architects, women, and birth companions). Over time we will be adding further content to provide as much detail as possible, including links to evidence in the literature on birth environment design, and relevant research content from diverse disciplines.
